Our Impact

For every $1 invested in Fair Foundation’s work, impacted communities receive $2.88 in social and economic returns.

This means that in the last financial year alone, over $5M of societal benefits were generated through our community services work, producing significant benefits for the people of Greater Western Sydney and the broader community, helping to shape a better future.

Social and Economic Returns

A New Beginning: A Journey of Resilience & Hope

Myrna, a qualified nurse from Iraq, arrived in Australia in 2019 on Humanitarian Visa with her child, seeking safety from conflict and domestic violence. The transition was challenging; she faced significant financial difficulties, struggled with language barriers and felt lost as a single mother in a new culture.

Myrna reached out to Fair Foundations for help. She was offered a safe space to discuss the trauma and mental health challenges resulting from conflict in Iraq and domestic violence. With this support, she has regained her strength, developed coping strategies and learned to manage her challenges.

Today, Myrna feels empowered and confident in caring for herself and her son, moving forward with resilience and hope.

"As a woman who has experienced Domestic Violence,
both physical and verbal, it was very hard for me to stand up again and have the confidence to move forward.
Fair Foundations has given me back the power
to change my life with my son
and to take control of my mental health."
